Europa League: Chukwueze Relishes Villarreal Win Vs Rapid Wien
Chukwueze ,19, entered the fray for Villarreal in the 65th minute and provided the assist for fellow substitute, Gerard Moreno’s fifth goal five minutes from time.
The game was Chkwueze’ third appearance for Villarreal in the Europa League this season albeit he is yet to make an appearance for the club in the LaLiga.
He has made one start and two substitute appearance in the three games.
“???? great win yesterday,” reads a tweet on Chukwueze’s Twitter handle.
The win against Rapid Wien was Villareal’s first in the group stages after draws in their first two games against Glasgow Rangers and Spartak Moscow.
The Yellow Submarines occupy second position in Group L with five points same as Rangers who top the group by virtue of a superior goal difference.
Rapid Wien are third with three points, while Spartak Moscow have two points.
Chukwueze signed for the Spanish outfit in 2017 and first starred for their reserves in the Spanish third tier league.
In his first season, Chukwueze made 11 Segunda B appearances, scoring two goals in the process and was promoted to the senior side ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
