MTN-FACEBOOK STRATEGIC TRAINING OF CEO’S ON HOW TO LEVERAGE ON SOCIAL MEDIA TO BOOST THEIR BUSINESS

MTN in partnership with Facebook on Tuesday trained Chief Executive Officers (CEO) of Small and Medium Entrepreneur (SME) on how to use social media to enhance their sales and maximise their profit.

The training held in Lagos, tagged Boost Your Business with MTN and Facebook was scheduled to last for 5 hours, lasted for 7 hours, with the first lecture by a Facebook artist, Sarah Ize-Iyamu who extensively instructed the participants on how to use Facebook ads to boost their business, she emphasises more on the use of Facebook business page to create ads that will not only create awareness to their business but will also generate sales for them.

MTN manager for SME’s segment, Mr.Arthum Malik, explained that MTN  is not only focus on generating money through voice and data calls but also provides ICT solutions that will enhance the sustainability of SME’s through the provision of first hand training on practical steps which will enable them to leverage on social media.

He said in the bid to improve connectivity and efficiency of the SME’s, MTN is set to launch its New Hynetflex router by January, 2019. “MTN Hynetflex is very affordable as it reduces the amount spend on data with the availability of unlimited downloads,” he explained that with the use of one MTN Hynetflex, any SME subscribed to it will be able to connect to the internet and enjoy same benefits with other branches in other state such as Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, and other major cities in the country without any extra charge.  

He added that the Hynetflex router is 4G enable, which will function in any part of the country where the service has been extended to and it can also automatically stoop low to 3G network in places where MTN 4G network is not available and promise that MTN will give back up battery that can last for 8 hours to the first set of subscribers after launching the routers.

The second segment of the training was anchored by Emeka Nwosu, who tutored the participants on the benefits of creating contents that are catchy and the need to be consistent while posting, he also educates the CEO’s on how to use Whatsapp to enhance their business by exposing them to the Whatsapp for business application and its usefulness.

The Head coordinator of Rabbington Media, Okemini Otum expressed great satisfaction in seeing the participants been nourished with fresh ideas that will help boost their business and encouraged them to make use of what they have learnt.
