Nigerian twitter community is currently engaged in a heated debate on who is a better actor between Nollywood’s Odunlade Adekola and Ibrahim Chatta.

Odunlade who has featured in over a-hundred yoruba Nollywood movies, is no doubt a household name in the Nigerian film industry. He has won numerous awards for himself and known for playing comic characters that makes viewers stay glued to the screen, engrossed with his ‘crafts’.

Although Odunlade has tried to break into the ‘English arm’ of Nollywood but he has only succeeded in featuring in just a sizeable number of movies.

He had starred, scripted, produced and directed several Nigerian films over the years. In April 2014, he won the Africa Movie Academy Award, having emerged as best actor of the year alongside Fathia Balogun who emerged as best actress of the year. In December 2015, He marked his entrance into the Nigerian music industry. Due to his popularity and impact in the film industry, photographs of Adekola during filming is widely used as internet meme across Nigerian Websphere

On the other hand, Ibrahim Chatta is another fantastic actor making waves in the Yoruba Nollwood.

Ibrahim Chatta is a well-known Nigerian actor in Yoruba films. He also sings, writes songs. He is a film producer and director.

Ibrahim Chatta reportedly does not have a secondary or higher education but became a successful Nollywood actor.

On his lack of education, Ibrahim believed, “Everything happened because of the pressure of peers. I was young, I was attracted to everything new, and I could not put my mind that education is so important. Since I was a child, I wanted to become an actor, but I had no idea that it would take so much. As a result, I left school in the third grade.” He had never studied at university but had learned a lot on his own.
