BAYERN MUNICH DECLINE TO EMPLOY ARSENE WENGER

German giants, Bayern Munich FC have declined the offer to employ Arsene Wenger as their new coach. The former Arsenal FC manager had reached out the Bayern Munich’s CEO, Karl Heinz Rummenigge signifying his interest in the vacant manager’s role at Bayern.

However, on Friday, Bayern disclosed to local media outfit; Bild that “Arsene Wenger called Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on Wednesday afternoon and signalled his fundamental interest in the position at Bayern. FC Bayern highly value Arsene Wenger’s work at Arsenal, but he is not an option to become head coach at FC Bayern.”

Bayern Munich on Sunday sacked coach Niko Kovac over a series of poor results after they were beaten by Eintrant Frankfurt by 5 goals to 1, this was their worst defeat in the Bundesliga in ten years.

Bayern are looking to sign an interim coach till the end of season 2019/2020 but it was learnt that Arsene Wenger will prefer a permanent role rather than the interim offer being offered by Bayern Munich
