MANCHESTER UNITED SHOW CLASS AGAINST BRIGHTON

Manchester United outclassed Brighton &Hove Albion by 3 goals to 1 in their premiership clash played at United’s Old Trafford ground on Sunday afternoon.

United opened scoring in the 17th minute through Andreas Pereira and the lead was doubled two minutes after through an own-goal from Brighton’s Davy Propper. Despite several attempts by both teams, the scoreline remained the same till the end of the fisrt half.

Though recording more possession of the ball during the match, Manchester United was the more dangerous side with several counter attacking runs. Brighton pulled one goal back through Lweis Dunk in the 64th minute through a header from close range to the roof of the net.

United were soon to restore their 2-goal lead through a right footed shot by Marcus Rashford in the 66th minute. There was an injury scare for Manchester United as Scott McTominay went off injured right at the tail end of the match.

With the win, United now have 16 points from 12 matches and are now placed 7th on the log right behind Arsenal who have 17 points from same number of matches.

In the other game played on Sunday afternoon, Wolverhampton Wanderers defeated Aston Villa by 2 goals to 1 with goals coming from Ruben Neves and Raul Jimenez, Trezeguet scored a consolation goal for Aston Villa in injury time.
