HOW A CAMERAMAN DIED WHILE FILMING STUNT FOR BBC, NETFLIX DRAMA

Following the death of the cameraman who died after a stunt went wrong on the set of a top BBC and Netflix drama, an inquest has revealed that cost-cutting by the production company could be the cause.

Veteran cameraman Mark Milsome, who previously worked on big projects like, Game of Thrones, James Bond feature; Quantum Of Solace and Oscar-winner; The Theory Of Everything and Saving Private Ryan amongst others, died after being hit by a Land Rover Defender performing a stunt in Ghana for the series; Black Earth Rising.

The 54-year-old camera operator who has a 30-year-old career in the industry was said to have been filming the car at night, driving up a ramp, but it ended up colliding with him and his camera.

A pre-inquest revealed that the crew in Ghana was not as qualified as it should have been and the drivers were inexperienced.
