The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has released an official statement clarifying that they did not ban the activities of Uber, Bolt and any other taxi service from Lagos airports or any other airport in Nigeria.

In release signed by the General Manager, Corporate Affairs; Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, she stated that “passengers and the general public are free to use whatever means or mode convenient to transport themselves to the Lagos and other airports in Nigeria”.

The statement further said that the sign put up on Tuesday at the Lagos airport banning the activities of Uber, Bolt and other taxi services did not emanate from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and that their security personnel have been instructed to remove the sign and investigate the issue.
