Kabiru had collected the sum of N4.3m from Oyesomi and converting it to his personal use ,then he disappeared when he found out the police were searching for him The police prosecutor, Ben Emuerhi, stated that Kabiru was arrested a year after committing the crime and he also committed the offences alongside others still at large in December 2018 at Pen-Cinema in the Agege area of Lagos. The defendant was arraigned on two counts of fraud and stealing before Magistrate Olufunke Sule-Amzat on Wednesday. Magistrate Olufunke Sule-Amzat admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum, also adding that the sureties must show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government. Kabiru pleaded not guilty to the charges and the case was adjourned till February 24 2020, for hearing.
