In apparent fallout of the lockdown by several countries, Qatar Airways has cancelled several of its flights to and from Lagos, Nigeria.

A circular issued by the airline’s country manager to it’s local partners; listed the number of flights cancelled to be ten flights. The cancelled flights would have been between Friday, March 20 and Monday, March 30.

Though the circular stated unavoidable circumstances, industry watchers believe the cancellations may not be unconnected with the lockdown in several countries of the world to reverse the spread of the dreaded Coronavirus.

The statement urged passengers of the affected flights to book their trips for alternative dates.

Several of the world’s airlines have been forced to take drastic measures as international trips by passengers have hit an all-time low.
