Gov. Okorocha: It Is Not My Business If Nnamdi Kanu is Dead or Alive

Read Time:1 Minute, 4 Second

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has denied reports flying in the social media that he called for the hanging of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu. The governor, who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwemeodo, denied knowing Nnamdi Kanu.
He said: “I read about him (Kanu) on the pages of newspapers like every other Igbo man or Nigerian. Whether he lives or dies, does not have any value to add to me.”
The spokesman said if Kanu dies, he (Okorocha) cannot become director of Radio Biafra or IPOB leader. He said those after Okorocha do not know how to approach their media war against him.
“They have no direction. They have no materials. They lack the moral strength. They also lack the spiritual muscle and that is why they will continue to misfire,” he said.
He said that since 2011 when Okorocha became governor, he never attacked or insulted anybody or any group because his Godliness and orientation do not warrant him to do such things.
“In Imo, the elite gave him (Okorocha) all sorts of names, including ‘Alhaji in Douglas House’, yet, Imo people voted massively for him in 2011 and in 2015 too. And if there could be room for third term, they would have also voted for him.”
