My Children are Not Ready to Take After Me…Ali Baba
Ace Nigerian comedian, Ali Baba, may be making a name for himself through the craft he has laid the foundation for but while others see the opportunity and business side of comedy, his kids are not interested.
They rather chose to be entertained by others than follow their father’s footstep. The comedian in a recent chat with Sun newspaper disclosed that his kids have a sense of humour but so sad that they are not interested in his line of business.
“None of my kids is taking after me, however if you are talking about taking after me in sports, artworks and painting, then they are taking after me. My daughter paints, another sings and is a broadcaster, one writes and another is into fashion. They all have a sense of humour but not commercially.”
He added that they never saw the business side of comedy at the early stage but they enjoy relaxation which is what is important to them but not planning to be like their father. “They initially did not think that it was a business worthy going into but they have a great sense of humour and that’s as far as it goes. It’s not like they are looking to become the next Ali Baba, no.”
