“I Am Alive”, Babangida says after His Death Rumor
Former Military Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, has debunked rumors spread on social media that he has passed on. Rumors that he died have been rife on Twitter in the last two days following his failure to return to Nigeria on Tuesday June 7th from a medical trip he went for in Germany.
Speaking on Television Continental (TVC) programme yesterday night, IBB as he is fondly called said “I am alive.” According to one of his family members, the rumor is unfounded. He said if IBB had indeed passed on, his corpse would have been flown back home to be buried according to Islamic injunction.
