To Curb Malnutrition in Nigeria, Aishat Buhari Launches “GET INVOLVED” Initiative
The wife of the President Mrs. Aisha Buhari yesterday launched the “Get Involved” component of the future assured program designed to provide solutions to problems of malnutrition among children in the country. According to a UNICEF report 2.5 Million Nigerian children suffer from malnutrition with about 500,000 likely to die from the deficiency within a year.
The GET INVOLVED initiative envisaged the active participation of well meaning Nigerians, private sector and non-governmental organizations in response to the alarming outbreak of undernourishment at internally Displaced Camps .
Mrs Aisha Buhari said with collective efforts from the Nigerian Public no child in Nigeria should lack a good nutritional diet.
