EFCC Declares former Kastina Governor, shema Wanted over Diversion of Funds
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday declared a former governor of Katsina state Ibrahim Shema wanted over diversion of fund, embezzlement amongst others.
In a statement released by its Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, the Commission said, “The former governor is wanted in connection with a case of criminal conspiracy, inflation of contract, abuse of office, diversion of funds, and embezzlement running into billions of naira.”
The statement further read, “The former governor ignored several invitations by the commission since December 1, 2015 when he was first summoned by the agency.”
The commission said all efforts to locate the governor has proved abortive
