PMB Will Take Nigeria to Promised the Land- Osinbanjo Says

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo,has assured  that President Muhammadu Buhari will take Nigeria across the red-sea into the promise land.
Speaking at the 56th Independence Anniversary Interdenominational Church Service, held at the National Christian Centre, Osinbajo said the promise of God is that he is building a new Nigeria where they will be peace from north east to the Niger Delta, a Nigeria where there will be jobs for the unemployed, adding “we are on our way out of the wilderness”.
According to him, the Bible describes Nigeria as the light of the world and salt of the earth while appealing to Nigerians not to be dismayed by the present economic situation.
Osinbajo said  “We should not be  like children of Israel when he took them out of Egypt and after few problems became grumblers in chief.
“As children of God we must declare this nation will prosper, we must be like our father who is the great encourager.
“Our message to Nigeria is  be strong and of good encourage, do not be dismayed, every Nigeria will benefit from the new Nigeria.
“God saw our nation and decided to put this leadership in place, this leadership will take us across the red sea to the new Nigeria”.
On his part,The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Samson Supo Ayokunle,  called on the President  Buhari  to promote politics of love and not of vendetta and should while shaming those that helped themselves to the nation’s wealth, should also celebrate those who are not corrupt.
In his message titled “Wisdom that prevails over economic recession”, teaching from his pilot text, Genesis 41:1-44‎, said Nigeria was at a  critical time, it is in economic recession, her oil has lost its value, facing the problem of insurgency, Fulani herdsmen, avengers militancy causing drops in oil production, armed robbery, ritual killings,  massive unemployed youths among others.
He said, “In our economic boom days we were not wise like Pharaoh, we did not invest but squander, our leaders helped themselves to nation’s health.
This was almost the plight of Egypt but for intervention through Joseph”.
According to him ,the nation also got into this present situation because  of failure of diversify adding that “Our leaders never thought we will  be in this situation, we abandoned agriculture for oil.
” Today many of faculty of agriculture in our universities are empty because nobody wants to study agriculture, we have more lecturer in depart of agriculture than students”.
Dignitaries present include wife of vice president, Dolapo Osinbajo, former vice president, Alex Ekwueme, ‎Bayelsa Governor, Sarieke Dickson, Senator Banabas Gemade (representative of the Senate President), Senator Olurunibe Mamora, members of Federal Executive Council (FEC), service chiefs‎, Rev. Tor Uja, Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) among others.
