Alleged budget padding: Cocaine Test Result of Jibrin Revealed
Former chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, yesterday, said he subjected himself to a drug and alcohol test to rebuff allegations that he was acting under influence in his recent actions.
Jibrin, who made the disclosure on twitter, yesterday, said that he subjected himself to a test Pathcare Laboratories Abuja and has decided to undergo a similar test at the National Hospital Abuja. Jibrin, in a series of tweets, also rebuffed claims that he had undergone trial for corruption acts.
The lawmaker, following his removal as chairman of the committee on appropriation, made a series of allegations against Speaker Yakubu Dogara and some principal officers bordering on corruption.
“As far as I know, this is the 1st time a public officer in Nigeria will subject himself to an open drug & alcohol tests, that person is me! Continuing, he said: I have submitted myself to two separate drug and alcohol tests including one with the credible path care laboratories Abuja my samples were taken and the results for all the various kinds of hard drugs including cocaine came out negative (see results attached) .
To give an official approbation to the test, he said he also decided to carry out another test at the Federal Government owned National Hospital. In view of the national dimension the issue has taken, I have also written the CMD of the National Hospital to give me a date and timeso they can take my samples at the national hospital, conduct another round of tests and make the result public.
