Presidency Releases Names of 46 Ambassadors-Designate
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the nomination of 46 non-career Ambassadors-Designate.
This information is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday byFemi Adesina, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
The statement recalled that the President had earlier approved the nomination of 47 Career Ambassadors-Designate.
According to the statement, this second batch completes the list of the President’s nominees, reflecting character and gender consideration.
The second batch list did not contain nomination of non career ambassadors from Imo and Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The list, however, has two career ambassadors from Imo and one career ambassador from the FCT.
They are Ngozi Ukaeje and K.C. Nwachukwu from Imo and Adamu Onoze Shuaibu from the FCT.
Abia has Dr. Uzoma Ememke (non-career) and Obinna C. Agbugba (Career); Adamawa has Dr. Clifford Zirra (non career), Salisu Umaru and I.A. Paragalda(career)
From Akwa Ibom, Retired Maj.-Gen. Godwin Umo (non career) and Inyang Udo-Inyang (career) while Anambra has Christopher Okeke (non career) and Okeke V. Nwunaku and Nonye Udo were approved as career ambassadors.
Bauchi state got two nominees – Yusuf Tugar and Baba Madugu as non career ambassadors while Liman Munir was nominated as career ambassador from the state.
Bayelsa got retired Brig.-Gen. Stanley Diriyai as non career ambassador while Benue has Dr. Enyantu Ifenne (non career), Ndem Jane Ada and D.A. Agev(career).
Borno has Mohammed Hayatuddeen as non career ambassador-designate andMohammed H. Hassan,T.K. Gongulong and L.A. Gashagar as career ambassadors.
The list has Dr. Etubom Asuquo (non career), Martin Nyong Cobham and Odeka Janet Bisong (career) from Cross River.
Delta has Francis Efeduma (non career) and Janet O. Olisa (career) while Ebonyi got Jonah Odo as non career ambassador.
Edo has Uyagwe Igbe (non career), Itegboje S. Sunday and Q.I. Worlu (career) while Ekiti has Ayodele Ayodeji (non career), Olatunde Adesesan and E. K. Oguntuase (career)
Enugu has retired Maj.-Gen. Chris Eze (non career) and Lilian Ijeukwu onoh(career) while Gombe got Alhaji Suleiman Hassan (non career), Manaja Tula Isah and Habu A. Gwani Ibrahim (career)
Jigawa got Amin Dalhatu (non career) and Bello Kazaure Husseini (career) while Kaduna got Muhammad Yaro, Deborah Iliya (non career) and Enoch Pear Duchi(career)
Others are Prof. D. Abdulkadir, Alhaji Haruna Ungogo (non career), Garba Babaand Rabiu Akawu (career) from Kano state.
Katsina state has lsa Dodo, Dr Usman Bugaje (non career) and Usman Bakori Aliyu and Ibrahim Hamza (career).
Kebbi has Prof. Tijjani Bande (non career) and Umar Zainab Salisu (career) while Kogi got Prof. Y.Aliu (non career) and Momoh S. Omeiza (career)
Kwara got Nuruddeen Mohamed, Prof. Mohamed Yisa (non career) while Kadiri Ayinla Audu and Olufemi Abikoye were nominated as career ambassadors.
Also on the list are Sen. Olorunimbe Mamora, Modupe Irele, Justice Oguntade(non career) and Balogun Hakeem (career) from Lagos state.
Nasarawa has Musa Muhammad (non career) and Inusa Ahmed (career) while Niger got Mohammad Ibeto (non career) and Ibrahim Isah (career).
Ogun has Ade Asekun (non career), Bankole Adeoye and Sonaike A. Abibat(career) while Sola Iji (non career) from Ondo.
The list also has Adegboyega Ogunwusi (non career) and Ibidapo-Obe Oluwasegun (career) from Osun while retired Maj.-Gen. Ashimiyu Olaniyi (non career) and Ogundero Sakirat (career) from Oyo.
