Green Card: “Our Common Sense Is Totally Lost”_ Soyinka Blasts Critics
Noble laureate Professor Wole Soyinka yesterday,slammed Nigerians who criticized him over his decision to dispose of his green card, labeling them as illiterates. The Nobel Laureate who was absolutely livid at the fact that Nigerians labeled his action as illiterate stated that he was embarrassed to come from the same nation as some people.
Soyinka further stated that he would hold a private funeral on the day of Trump’s inauguration as President of the United States to mourn the death of Nigeria’s common sense.
Professor Soyinka said;
“We have too many illiterates in this country – for me, Trump is not really my business. I’ll hold a private funeral on Trump’s inauguration day”.
“Our common sense is totally lost. I am embarrassed sometimes that I occupy the same nation space with some people”.
