Yaya Toure: I knew Manchester City would need me again
Ivory Coast legend Yaya Toure has explained that he always knew he would be needed again by Manchester City.
The former Elephants midfielder fell out of favour at City earlier this season when he was deemed surplus to requirements by manager Pep Guardiola.
However, he has recently worked his way back into contention and explained that he was always prepared to return to the team when he was given the opportunity.
Toure said: “I was prepared mentally and I knew that one day the manager would need me again. I am professional but I always want to improve my game.
“The most important thing for me is to keep working hard – those who work hardest have more opportunities to play.”
