Hazard, Kante Bag Chelsea Best Player Awards.
Eden Hazard and N’golo Kante were rewarded on Sunday night for their outstanding performance in the 2016/2017 season with individual awards in the club’s end of season awards.
The club’s annual awards was held at Batteries Evolution in London and attended by the players and team officials.
The Belgian, who was instrumental in the club winning the Premier League crown this season, scoring 16 league goals was voted as the best player by Chelsea supporters through the club’s website, www.chelsea. com.
Hazard’s first Chelsea Player of the Year award was for 2013/14 thereby ensuring that he has picked up the trophy in three of the past four years. The other triple winner is Frank Lampard (2004, 2005, 2009).
Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte announced the award winner with the Yokohama Player of the Year trophy presented by president of Yokohama Europe, Mr. Hashimoto.
Kante was the choice of his team-mates for 2016/17 for the Players Player of the Year after winning the PFA Players’ Player of the Year Award last month.
The midfielder also scooped the Football Writers’ Footballer of the Year and Premier League Player of the Year prize following his winning back-to-back Premier League titles with Leicester and Chelsea.
The award to Hazard was presented on stage by Michael Ballack, a league and cup winner during his four seasons at Chelsea between 2006 and 2010.
Hazard’s individual goal on February 4 in Chelsea’s 3-1 win against Arsenal was voted the Goal of the Season.
Karen Carney was voted the Chelsea Woman Player of the season.
