Regina Askia officially becomes an American citizen

Nigerian actress turned nurse, Regina Askia-Williams, is now officially an American citizen.
This comes despite living in the US for the last 15 years, with Askia saying she did not feel the need to apply for citizenship.
She noted that Donald Trump becoming US president changed that notion for her, though.
‘And so today I made it official. I took the oath and became a citizen of the United States of America,’ she wrote on Facebook.
‘Empowered and armed for the full pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.’
