Ronaldo Is Very Important Player For Real Madrid, Says Casemiro
Addressing reporters before Real Madrid face off in an international friendly against Manchester City in Carson, California, Casemiro said Ronaldo is very important for the team.``
“We want him here and Cristiano should be here with us because he is a very important player for us and we are waiting for him with open arms because we need him here,” Casemiro said.
Madrid midfielder, Casemiro, kept reporters guessing on when questioned about transfer rumours involving French prodigy Kylian Mbappe.
When asked if Mbappe would be a good fit a Real Madrid, Casemiro said he could only comment on players who are already part of Real Madrid.
“Mbappe is not a (Real) Madrid player so I can’t talk about a player who is not from (Real) Madrid.”
Spanish sports publication Marca reported that Mbappe’s club Monaco and Real Madrid had agreed a deal in principle worth $186,000 for the 18-year-old’s transfer.
Casemiro was also quizzed about whether Barcelona’s Neymar would play well at Real Madrid.
“It is clear that Neymar is a player that could be important for any team but he is a Barcelona player and of course here (at Real Madrid) he would be important but he is for Barcelona and we can’t forget that.”
