Anyone who sleeps with the Ooni’s wife will die a horrible death – Ifa Priest

As mixed reactions continue to trail the Ooni of Ife and his ex-wife over their divorce, some Nigerians have expressed their beliefs and opinions on the case.
One of the numerous reactions was from notable lecturer and Ifa Priest, Yomi Elebuibon, who revealed that any man who sleeps with the Ooni of Ife’s wife will die a horrible death.

According to the Ifa priest, the implications of the ex-Queen’s separation from the Ooni of Ile Ife will amount to grievous consequences if the ex-queen fails to go through some necessary traditional cleansing.
‘The queen will be asked to consult Ifa and Ifa will give directions on how she will make the necessary atonement for her cleansing,’he said.
Elebuibon added, ‘In Yoruba tradition, a woman who has been married to a king cannot lay with any other man even if the marriage breaks up. But when the right atonements have been made, there won’t be any problem.
‘If she doesn’t make the necessary atonement for cleansing, the man she marries will die a premature death or he will be struck with an unknown illness.
‘Even after the cleansing exercise, any marriage which she goes into must not be elaborate. They should go far away and avoid any flamboyant wedding,’ Elebuibon told The Sun.
