Herdsmen Attacks: Edo Govt strengthens security
In an effort to avert recurrent criminal attacks allegedly perpetrated by herdsmen, the Edo state government has intensified security at flashpoints in the state.
The Deputy Governor of the state, Philip Shaibu, revealed this while responding to yet another murder allegedly committed by herdsmen in Oben community in Edo State.
He said the action is aimed at providing a permanent solution to alleged criminal activities by herdsmen in the state.
Shaibu said, “the government is beefing up security at flash points across the state to prevent re-occurrence of such murder and alleged herdsmen attacks.”
The spokesman of the Edo State House of Assembly Damian Lawani in reaction to the murder said the Edo State House of Assembly will revisit the contentious Edo State anti-open grazing bill with a view to capture the interest of all stakeholders in the state.
