No political party can win “without substantial Yoruba support” – Fani-Kayode
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has disclosed the lesson learnt from the 2015 elections.
Fani-Kayode made the disclosure on Thursday night, via his on twitter handle, cautioning that any political party that does not treat Yoruba people respectfully, will lose the 2019 presidential elections.
He added that those who have not learnt the lesson in the 2015 elections are bound to lose the election, come 2019.
Consider this: any political party that does not treat the Yoruba people with the respect they deserve will lose the Presidency in 2019.U cannot win without substantial Yoruba support. That was the lesson of 2015 and those that have not learnt it will suffer the consequences.
The former minister’s assertion therefore indicates that Goodluck Jonathan’s defeat to President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 presidential election, is as a result of lack of “respect” and consequently loss of “substantial support from Yoruba people”.
The former Minister has also indicated support for Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose’s presidential ambition.
Fani-Kayode, a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, declared that no “force could stop Fayose from becoming the next president of Nigeria.”
The PDP Chieftain made the remark at Fayose’s presidential declaration in Abuja.
