Manchester United ‘want Gareth Bale for £50m’
Bale has only made five La Liga appearances for Los Blancos this season after struggling with a number of injuries.
The Welshman was again absent for his team’s league match with Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, and it is understood that the Spanish and European champions will sell the 28-year-old at the end of the 2017-18 campaign after losing patience.
United tried to sign Bale when he left Tottenham Hotspur, and the Red Devils are still said to be interested in the attacker despite his injury problems.
According to The Mirror, Real Madrid want £100m for Bale as they look to raise the funds for a possible move for Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, but United are only prepared to pay £50m due to his poor injury record.
Bale has only made 24 league appearances for Real Madrid since the start of the 2016-17 season.
