SON ADOPTS ANTI BRIBERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM STANDARD TO FIGHT CORRUPTION
STANDARD ORGANIZATION OF NIGERIA HAS ADOPTED AN ANTI BRIBERY MANAGEMENT STANDARD SYSTEM COMMITTEE AS AN EFFORT TO FIGHT CORRUPTION IN THE COUNTRY.
DIRECTOR GENERAL, OF THE ORGANIZATION, OSITA ABOLOMA WHILE RECEIVING MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE RECENTLY IN ABUJA, EMPHASISED THAT THE STANDARD SYSTEMS WILL PROFFER SOLUTION TO THE NATIONAL DISCOURSE ON CORRUPTION.
HE STATED THAT BRIBERY IS CAPABLE OF UNDERMINING GOOD GOVERNANCE, HINDER DEVELOPMENT AND DISTORT COMPETITION.
ABOLOMA STRESSED THAT SON WILL PUSH FOR THE PROMOTION AND USE OF THE STANDARDS BY MINISTRIES, DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES OF GOVERNMENT AS A TOOL FOR THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION.

EARLIER, CHAIRMAN OF THE COMMITTEE, PROF. OSERHEIMEN OSUNBOR STATED THAT THE ANTI BRIBERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM STANDARD FOR NIGERIA WAS BORN OUT OF SERIES OF MEETING WITH EXPERTS AND CAREFUL CONSIDERATION TO ERADICATE CORRUPTION IN GOVERNANCE.
HE THEREFORE CALLED ON GOVERNMENT AT ALL LEVELS TO EMBRACE THE STANDARD AS A TOOL FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF IT ANTI CORRUPTION AND GOOD GOVERNANCE POLICIES.
