DAILY FINANCIAL MARKETS UPDATE
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.46%, while the Year-to-Date return stood at 12.77%. The All Share Index closed at 43,127.92 against the previous close of 43,326.89 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦15.477 trillion against previous close of ₦15.548 trillion. Volume traded decreased by 75.13% from 2220.962 million to 552.391 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 40.04% from ₦7.495 billion to ₦4.494 billion in 5,489 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 477.988 million shares exchanged for ₦2.361 billion. Conglomerates came next with 31.362 million shares traded for₦0.107 billion, Consumer Goods, Services, Industrial Goods sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Skyebank, FBNH, Diamondbnk, FCMB and Prestige were the most active stocks by volume. Diamondbnk, Sterlnbank, Jaizbank, Learnafrca and NEM emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while AIICO, Courtville, UNIC, Multiverse and Japauloil topped the losers chart.
