RANGERS SEEK DIVINE HELP, DONATE FOOD ITEMS TO MOTHERLESS BABIES HOME
Technical officials and players of Enugu Rangers on Saturday added a spiritual dimension to their hunt for an eighth domestic silverware with a visit to an Enugu based orphanage, Guardian Angel Motherless Babies Home.
During the visit, the Coal City Flying Antelopes put smiles on the faces of the kids with food items such as rice, groundnut oil, fruit juice and detergent amongst others.
Seen more as Valentine Day visit, Olugbenga Ogunbote, technical adviser of Nigeria’s foremost club said they were motivated by the plight of the less privilege in the society.
“Essentially, Rangers is not just a club but a movement.
“It is an identity and as part of our Social Corporate Responsibility, we deem it proper to remember our brothers and sisters who are not as much privileged as most of us”.
Officials of the orphanage were pleased with the gesture of the club and in unison wished the Coal City Flying Antelopes success in their campaign.
After the visit, the players went back into their concentration camp ahead of Sunday’s NPFL match day 8 fixture against El-Kanemi Warriors billed for the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, otherwise known as the Cathedral.
Rangers are 9th on the Premier League standings with 10 points after seven round of matches.
