The Premiere

Just a few days before the film opened in cinemas, the cast, celebrities, captains of industry and political leaders attended its enchanting premiere at theĀ Civic CentreĀ inĀ Victoria Island, Lagos. The venue was transformed into a Valentine wonderland, with a mesmerising array of fine cuisine from ten leading chefs and culinary specialists. Guests were in fine spirits with five different bars, a series of decadent lounges throughout the building and live music by the waterfront, withĀ Tiwa Savage,Ā Reekado Banks,Ā Johnny Drille,Ā FalanaĀ andĀ KalinĆ©.

The Royal Hibiscus Hotel tells the story of ā€˜Opeā€™, a passionate Nigerian chef, following her dream of opening an African restaurant in London. Frustrated by her lack of progress, she returns to Nigeria and discovers that going home can bring unexpected surprises. The cast includesĀ Zainab Balogun,Ā Kenneth Okolie,Ā Deyemi Okanlawon,Ā Kemi ā€˜Lalaā€™ AkindojuĀ andĀ O.C. Ukeje, with veteran actorsĀ Rachel Oniga,Ā Jide Kosoko,Ā Olu JacobsĀ andĀ Joke Silva.
