Manchester City plotting audacious £200m bid for Harry Kane
The 24-year-old is on course to finish top of the English top flight scoring charts for a third successive season, having netted 23 times already in 2017-18.
Spurs are understood to be bracing themselves for an approach from European champions Real Madrid, who are in the market for a new striker, and Spanish outlet Diario Gol suggests that another name has been added to the list of interested parties.
City boss Pep Guardiola apparently believes that Kane is the missing piece of the jigsaw at the Etihad Stadium, and he has been backed to spend up to £200m – a world-record sum – to land his man ahead of next season.
The report indicates that Sergio Aguero will be offloaded to free up funds, with Chelsea the most recent side to be linked with the Argentina international.
