Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger inisists that his target is to finish in the Premier League top four at the end of the season after missing out on the Carabao Cup last Sunday.
Wengerā€™s men are sixth in the English Premier League table with 45 points from 27 games, 10 points off the top four position.
ā€œOur target is to finish in the top four. I want us to focus in a united way and to respond tomorrow and win the game,ā€ Wenger said during his pre-match conference ahead of Thursdayā€™s league game against Manchester City at the Emirates.
The Frenchman also reflected on his teamā€™s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final, saying: ā€œIt was a tight game until 2-0. City had three shots on target and we had two.
ā€œWe have to turn the decisive moments into our favour. We played a bit apprehensive and we need to have more freedom

ā€œWe need to recover from that and prepare for the next challenge together.
ā€œWe have to live with it. It is part of the modern game. It is there job to comment. It is important how we respond and analyse the game.
ā€œIt doesnā€™t help us to win or lose the game ā€“ that is done by how we respond internally.
ā€œYes, of course. I am long enough to know people will ask questions of the players. You have to accept and analyse if we lost the game because of that. You get that impression with games like 3-0 but thatā€™s not the main reason.ā€
On his future at the club, he said: ā€œIt is important what is happening to the team. My individual future is less important.
ā€œMy position is my position. Honestly, it is the last worry I have at the moment. It is my way of thinking, to focus for the next game. My job is to perform and for other people to judge me.
ā€œDoes it stop you to sleep? That my position is certain, uncertain. Thursday night is important but the rest isnā€™t interesting.
ā€œI am amazed that I have to answer things that are the same. I have been here for 21 years, I turned the whole world down to respect my contract.ā€
Wenger also ruled out Nacho Monreal who sustained an injury in the Carabao Cup final from the encounter.
ā€œHe (Monreal) is out for the two games ā€“ this weekend.
ā€œHe might be out for two more ā€“ Milan and maybe one more. The rest, everybody is fit.ā€
