Group urges Buhari to sign age reduction bill
The Not Too Young To Run movement has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to assent to the Age Reduction Bill.
The group also urged the National Assembly to without further delay, transmit the Bill, which is part of the items on the Constitutional amendment to the President for assent.
Mr. Samson Itodo, who spoke on behalf of over 40 youths and civil societies groups from across the country, said the president should live up to his promises by assenting to the Bill.
He added such would pave way for the youths’ inclusion in the governance of the country.
The Constitution Amendment Bill was transmitted from the state Houses of Assembly to the National Assembly for onward transmission to President Buhari as the next and final stage in the constitution amendment process of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria, as amended.
