AWONIYI EXTENDS LIVERPOOL CONTRACT, BAGS BELGIUM GOAL OF THE MONTH AWARD
Taiwo Awoniyi has picked up the goal of the month award at his Belgium club Mouscron for the second goal of his brace against Standard Liege in the Belgium top division .
The on loan Liverpool forward was presented with the trophy over the weekend. A sign of how well he has progressed since his move to the club in the summer with 8 goals to his name so far.
His form has already earned him a new contract at Liverpool as first reported by this portal, and his next loan deal will also see him leave Liverpool on loan at the end of the season on another loan spell.
This time around, the forward explained he will be heading on loan to a team playing in the Europa League as it will help his cause to get a work permit using other alternatives, as he doesn’t have the required
caps to earn one the regular way.
He will reportedly sign a fresh two years deal, that will see him remain at the club till the summer of 2022. His deal will also include a provision to be a part of the pre season squad of the team to enable him push for a spot in the main squad.
