Nigeria will square off with Serbia in an international friendly match
at The Hive Stadium in London, England on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles are coming off 1-0 win over Poland in a friendly
match which was played in Wrocław on Friday night.
As a result, Nigeria returned to winning ways having lost to Morocco
in the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) final last February.
The African giants, who are under the guidance of German coach Gernot
Rohr, have lost once in their last five games in all competitions.
They will look to Chelsea FC defender-cum-midfielder Victor Moses, who
scored the only goal of the match as Nigeria beat Poland last week.
Meanwhile, Serbia are wounded after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Morocco
in a friendly match which was played in Torino, Italy on Friday night.
The defeat ended the Eagles’ three-match unbeaten run in all
competitions having drawn with Korea Republic in a friendly game last
November, before facing Morocco.
The European side is coached by Serbian tactician Mladen Krstajic, who
was appointed last October replacing his countryman Slavoljub Muslin.
Aleksandar Kolarov is the team captain and an influential player for
the Eagles. The AS Roma star can be used as a left-back or
left-winger.
Nigeria and Serbia will be using this friendly as preparation for the
upcoming FIFA World Cup finals which are scheduled to be hosted by
Russia between June and July.
