Aina Targets Big Win Vs Championship Leaders Wolves
Nigeria defender Ola Aina has urged his teammates to have a positive mindset ahead of tonight’s Championship clash against leaders Wolves.
Aina and his teammates will look to build on Saturday’s goalless draw against promotion-chasing Aston Villa, a result which saw the Tigers extend their home form at the KCOM Stadium to just one defeat in their last 11 games in all competitions.
It has however been a different story for Nigel Adkins’ men on the road this season, with just three away wins under their belt.
Aina, who is on loan at Hull City from English Premier League champions Chelsea, was quick to stress the importance of backing themselves against Nuno Espírito Santo’s in-form side.
“It is the Championship and anyone can beat anyone,” he told the club’s official website.
“As of now, Wolves have been playing well and they have got some fantastic players. They are looking to pick up three points wherever and whoever they play.
“It will be a tough one, but it is not one that we are thinking is out of our hands. We can go there and do a job – we firmly believe that.
“As always, we’ll go into the game with confidence in our ability to produce the right sort of performance and pick up a positive result. Hopefully, we can do just that.”
Hull City currently sit in 18th position in the 24-teams Championship table.
The 21-year-old made 37 appearances for Hull City in the Championship this season.
