No fewer than 120,000 passengers have benefitted from the free train service offered by the Osun state government since inception.
The Coordinating Director in the ministry of commerce,cooperatives and investment, Abimbola Osho spoke while receiving passengers who benefited in the train service for Easter celebration.
Correspondent Abass Okandeji reports that the free train service which is the 31st of it’s kind since Aregbesola came on board in November 2010 took off from Lagos on Friday and expected to return people back to Lagos on Monday after the easter celebrations.
Receiving the benefitiaries of the train service, Osho said the free train service is part of government’s efforts to boost the state economy and ease burden of transport fare on the people.
He enjoined residents of the state to pay necessary dues to government as a means of reciprocating the gesture.
