NIGERIAN ARMY REITERATES COMMITMENT TO ENSURE NATIONS SECURITY.
The Chief of Army Staff Lt General Tukur Buratai has reiterated commitment of Nigerian Army to ensure sustainance of the nation’s security with a high degree of enthusiasm.
Buratai gave the assurance on Thursday at the second edition of 2018 procurement awareness seminar held in Abuja with theme “Optimizing the Operational Capabilities of the Nigerian Army through an Effective Procurement System”.
He however noted that the operational capability of the Nigerian Army largely depends on the availability of requisite hardware, highly trained personnel and other essential resources in view of the need to strengthen its capacity.
The Chairman’s House Committee on Army, Rimamde Shawulu further assured that the National Assembly will continue to identify with the Nigerian Army, and in particular the efforts to create transparent and accountable procurement system that will support the increasing operational responsibilities.
Hon. Shawulu further expressed hope that the seminar would bring about ideas and resolutions to further advance the procurement processes of the Nigerian Army for the effective discharge of its responsibilities.
