Wizkid refers to Duncan Mighty as a legend

Wizkid has gone from being referred to as a legend himself, getting compared to Abami Eda, Fela Anikulapo Kuti to christening Port Harcourt’s first son Duncan Mighty a musical legend.

In his interview with HipTV, the superstar says that “Duncan Mighty is a very special musician, he is someone that I listened to that his first album, I listened to his first album a lot“.

He goes on to say that they have both completed work on two songs with plans to shoot videos for them.

“Me working with him is like a privilege, legend and a young guy like me” he says.

Duncan Mighty who hails from Rivers State released his debut album in 2008 tilted ‘Koliwater’. The 22-track album paraded hit records like ‘Ako Na Uche’, ‘Ijeoma’, ‘Sanko Love’ and ‘Pray for Mama’.

It wasn’t until his sophomore effort ‘Ahamefuna’ (Legacy) released two years later that he became a household name across the nation.

The album had songs like ‘Obianuju‘, ‘I don’t give a shot‘, ‘Port Harcourt Son‘ and the politically motivated ‘Goodluck Jonathan‘, earning him plaudits and winning several major awards.

On September 15, 2016, Duncan Mighty dropped his fifth album “The Certificate” under Young Wealth Records. His previous studio albums were “Footprints and “Grace & Talent” were released in 2012 and 2014 respectively.

It will be recalled that since the release of his ‘Sounds From The Other Side‘ project, Wizkid has been involved in quite a number of collaborations including ‘Manya‘ with Mut4y and ‘Soco‘ with Terri, Spotless and Ceeza Milli.
