Straight Copa Del Rey
Barcelona defended their Copa del Rey title for the fourth year running in grand style by defeating Sevilla 5-0 on Saturday night at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.
The Catalan giants won their 30th Copa del Rey trophy, the fourth back to back.
Barcelona totally dominated the final, racing to a three-goal lead in the first half.
Luis Suarez scored a brace in the opening 31 minutes and Lionel Messi made it 3-0 five minutes before the break.
Andreas Iniesta then finished off a sublime pass from Messi, beating the Sevilla goalkeepe, David Soria from a tight angle in the 52nd minute.
Ramirez had a chance to grab a consolatory goal in the 62nd minute for Sevilla when he was played through on goal but the on-loan Everton striker shot was stopped by Jasper Cillesson.
Philippe Coutinho made it 5-0 for Barcelona from the penalty spot after the referee spotted a handball.
With the game already wrapped up Ernesto Valverde brought on Paulinho for Sergio Busquets and Ousmane Dembele for Philippe Coutinho in the 76th and 82nd minutes of the encounter.
He also brought on Denis Suarez for Iniesta who got a standing ovation from the Wanda Metropolitano fans for his outstanding performance in the final and his impending departure to China.
