Live in my heart and pay no rent was the healing sentence that glued all the broken pieces of her fragile heart. It is only normal for one to say you don’t fall in love but grow in love but in my own opinion, I think it is safer to say you fall in love. It started on a fateful night when she stepped into a club with a shattered heart, a bruised confidence, a deflated ego and she just wanted drink and dance the night and sorrows away and then, in the midst of all the crazy that were going through her mind, the loud music and the hips and legs moving to the beat of the songs being played, she came across a strange face she had never seen before… chilly right?.lol. In that moment, she felt everything around her changed completely and all of a sudden she felt light on the inside but wasn’t so sure of the feeling because remember, she came in with a broken heart and erased the thoughts of getting involved with any man because she needed time to heal and if at all that decision changes, she was not going to take the dude serious… More like a fling.
Okay, he sighted her from across the room and his gaze was fixed on her with a smile. What to do now? She didn’t know whether to look away or smile back or act like she wasn’t noticing him at all. Everything was happening at the same time…lol…that was it. She tried reminisce on the previous break up and played cool. Now what do you think? Did he stop at that? No he didn’t stop at the stare and he approached her for a dance and she obliged and after the dance, she got her digits and left the club for his house maybe because it was 2am already…boom!, she forgot her safe word. She went home, she thought about everything before sleep caved in. The next morning, he called her and they both conversed and he wanted to see her but she gave an excuse because she felt it was too sudden and he respected that and said: “okay dear, maybe some other time”.
A few days go by and he was keeping in touch and she was feeling the connection…hmmm, nice feeling. One day, she went to fix her mobile phone and we all know how annoying it is to have a phone that isn’t functioning as it should. He calls her up at the moment (perfect timing)…
