Remove Rear Admiral Apochi Suleiman – Demands Niger Delta Human Rights Group
Coalition of Niger Delta Civil Society & Niger Delta Environment Protection Group addressing World Press Conference at the International Conference Centre now, demands removal of Rear Admiral Apochi Suleiman who is the commander of operation delta safe.
All Niger Delta groups jointly addressing the world conference accusing the JTF Commander of colluding with thieves to steal crude in the Niger Delta.
The group passed a vote of no confidence on the Rear Admiral Apochi Suleiman. The group appreciated efforts by President Buhari to bring peace to the region and praise government for how it has handled the Nigeria delta case but say the JTF Commander is sabotaging government efforts by encouraging criminals to steal crude despite being informed by the group.
The JTF Commander was alleged to have ensure safe passage for criminals and oil thieves
Suleiman was accused to collect bribe from big oil thieves and look the other way. The group said GPS coordinates of the exact point of of theft has been sent to him many times but he refused to ask. He was also alleged to have boasted that he is untouchable as he is serving the interest of those that appointed him.
The group called on the the chief of defense staff and the presidency to probe the fraternity between rear admiral Suleiman and oil thieves.
Their Demands
1. Immediate investigations into the activities of Rear Admiral Apochi
2. Removal of Apochi from the area and replaced why he is being investigated
3. FG to conduct its independent video surveillance of the area to see the extent of environmental damage done by the negligence of the JTF commander
