Austria stars David Alaba and Marko Arnautovic have wished Nigeria
ā€˜the bestā€™ at the Russia 2018 World Cup.
The Super Eaglesā€™ last stop before Russia is Austria, where they, on
Wednesday, played Czech Republic for their last pre-tournament
friendly.
And the versatile left-back, with other members of Das Team paid a
visit to one of the Super Eaglesā€™ training sessions at their Aviva
Resort base.
In a video made available by the NFF on Twitter, asked his wish for
the Super Eagles, Alaba said: ā€œOnly the best!ā€
However, striker Arnautovicā€™s positive thoughts towards the three-time
African champions would not come at the expense of his Serbian
heritage.
ā€œI wish you the best…but I’m Serbian myself,ā€ said the West Ham
United forward, born to a Serbian father.
.@NGSuperEagles had guests who came to see them trainĀ on Friday. It
was the Austrian National team led by David Alaba, a Nigerian by

twenty five years ago to a Nigerian father and Filipino mother.
Prior to his competitive debut for Austria against France in a World
Cup qualifier in 2009, former Nigeria international Benedict Akwuegbu
had approached the leadership of the Nigerian Federation regarding the
possibility of capping Alaba but he didnā€™t receive a positive response
from the Federation.
The Austria national team are holding a training camp very close to
the Super Eagles Avita Resort camp ahead ofĀ Sunday’sĀ friendly against
