Ten-man Germany came from behind to claim a dramatic 2-1 win against Sweden in Group F of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday.
Going into the game, Germany needed all three points to get their campaign back on track after losing their opening game 1-0 to Mexico.
It was Sweden who took the lead through Ola Toivolen in the 32nd as he chested down a long pass before lobbing the ball over the onrushing Manuel Neuer after Toni Kroos gave the ball away in the midfield.
Germany were back on level terms on 48 minutes thanks to Marco Reus who stabbed home a cutback from the left.
Germany were reduced to 10 men on 82 minutes as Jerome Boateng was sent off after receiving his second yellow card.
But in the 95th minute Kroos hit a superb free-kick to give Germany the all-important win.
Germany are now second in the group on three points and must beat South Korea in their final game on Wednesday while Sweden have it all to do against Mexico also on Wednesday.
