It’s Andrew Carr! BBC presenter Marr swaps his Vespa scooter for massive Cadillac to drive around central London
Andrew Marr has swapped his nifty little Nissan for a much more luxurious ride.
The BBC presenter was spotted cruising around central London in an enormous Cadillac earlier this month.
He appeared to be filming for his political programme The Andrew Marr Show, which is broadcast on Sunday mornings.
And the journalist seemed to be enjoying his jaunt in the striking blue convertible on June 19.
He could be seen nestled comfortably in the back seat along with a film crew, talking to camera as he was ferried around the capital.
The imposing Cadillac was a million miles away from the dainty Nissan Figaro that Marr used to ride in the opening titles of his show.
The broadcaster went on to drive a Vespa scooter in the same light blue shade.
Marr, 58, has presented his own show on the small screen since 2005.
Born in Glasgow, he gained a first-class degree in English from Cambridge University and began his journalism career on The Scotsman newspaper in 1981.
He has worked as a columnist for The Express and The Observer, and became the BBC’s political editor in 2000.
The TV heavyweight, known for his no-nonsense approach to grilling guests, revealed in May that he was having an operation to remove a tumour on his kidney.
He made a full recovery and returned to the airwaves later that month.
