France Secure Top Spot In Group C After First 0-0 Draw, Peru Stun Australia

France secured top spot in Group C at the 2018 FIFA World Cup after they were held to a 0-0 draw by Denmark at the Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow on Tuesday.
It was the first goalless draw of the 2018 World Cup.
The Les Blues who won their previous two games against Australia and Peru finished with seven points and will meet the second placed team in Group D in the second round.
The Danes also progressed into the round of 16 in second position with five points after their closest challengers Australia who fell 2-0 to Peru at the Olympic Stadium in Sochi.
Peru opened scoring in the 18th minute when Carrillo fired home a wonderful volley from Guerrero cross.
The Los Incas got their second through Guerrero five minutes after the break.
Ricardo Gareca’s men finished third in the group with three points having picked their first win of the competition, while Australia finished last with just one point.
