Protest against insecurity in the country
It’s a mourning Wednesday in Abuja for a coalition of civil society groups as they file out protest the state of insecurity in the country.
The group under the name ‘Joint Civil Society Action Committee dressed in black attires to mourn the recent killing of seven police officers in Abuja, the Plateau killings and other crisis situation across Nigeria.
The protesters who marched from the unity fountain in Abuja towards the presidential vila say government has not shown enough commitment, empathy and the political will to address the killings.
They accused the security agencies of incompetence and negligence of duty in the discharge of their duties.
