With much ado about schools closing around the nation, Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has reached out to parents on the issues of child molestation, which, according to the entertainer, is usually rampant during holidays.
According to her, the mother of one advised parents not to leave their children with people whom they have no trust in, due to the high rate of child molestation in the country.
Setting an example for parents to follow, she said, “Personally, I went all out with CCTV camera, which allows me to watch my home through my phone from any part of the world. Be vigilant.”
Tonto Dikeh noted that parents should check the relationships between their children and certain adults.
“Check why your kids are in love with an adult and check why some adults repel and scare them. Don’t be caught up in this wayward society.
“The church isn’t a safe place; watch your kids everywhere and do not feel too comfortable in a religious gathering. Do not send them to your grannies’ place because they are weak, vulnerable and not so disciplined anymore,” she added.
