Senators Defect from APC to PDP

Fifteen senators from the ruling All Progressive Congress in Nigeria has defected to the main opposition party – Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The lawmakers made their decision known Tuesday morning at the plenary. The rumors of the defection has been going round 24 hours earlier.
The president of the senate and his deputy were prevented from security agencies from leaving their house in the early hours of Tuesday but the senate president left his convoy and trekked to office.
The ruling APC by composition is now the minority in the senate while opposition party has more lawmakers.
