Mateo Kovacic ‘booked for imminent medical at Chelsea’

Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic is reportedly booked for a medical at Chelsea on Wednesday, ahead of a loan move to the Blues.
Kovacic has struggled for minutes at the Santiago Bernabeau since moving from Inter Milan for £26m in 2015.
Chelsea have already bolstered their midfield with the signing of Jorginho from Napoli, and Sky Sports News reports that the club have now agreed a deal with Madrid for Kovacic.
The report adds that Kovacic will undergo a medical at the club on Wednesday, spending next season on loan for Maurizio Sarri‘s side.
The Croatian international played a key role in his country’s journey to their first ever World Cup final in Russia earlier this summer.
